At Play - A Look at the new Irish Play Repertoire for Young Theatre Audiences 1975-2016

A presentation by Co-Directors, Siobhán Bourke & Jane Daly from Irish Theatre Institute’s on-line PLAYOGRAPHYIreland resource, followed by Q&A.

The Findings Report  - At Play – focuses on new Irish writing for children  between the ages of 4 and 12 years in English and Irish.  The report illustrates the chronology of new writing and professional productions since 1975 and highlights the actors,  companies, designers,  directors and playwrights most frequently associated with theatre for children.  The analysis of the 40 year period  shows the changes in the theatre landscape and some of the successes of the sector.

Irish Theatre Institute (ITI) nurtures, promotes and drives the ambition of Irish theatre makers and Irish theatre, from its grassroots beginnings to its presentation on the world stage. Building on over two decades of dedicated sectoral engagement, ITI has a proven ability to respond to change and to lead in the development of support systems for theatre practitioners.
