HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?
Baboró offers schools an opportunity to book performances early - before the public box office opens.
You may already have received a:
- School Performance Early Booking Request Form
- Workshop and Gallery Request Form, and a
- Copy of the Baboró programme by post.
If you have not, or if you require further copies you can:
- Download a Word or PDF version of the Booking Request Form
- Download a Word or PDF version of the Workshop and Gallery Request Form
- Download a Word or PDF version of the Teacher Workshop Booking Form
- Download a PDF of the full Baboró Programme
or
- Request copies via email on admin@baboro.ie or by phone on 091 562 667
Step 1 - HOW TO ORDER
Using the Programme as your reference:
- Make your selection
- Complete the Booking Request Form - making sure that you give your 1st, 2nd and 3rd preferences - based on your needs in terms of time, event, etc
If you would like advice or assistance on completing the form or selecting a show, please call us on
091 562 667 (we can't take bookings on this line but will be happy to talk to you)
We have a dedicated Schools Liaison and all of our team in the office have in-depth knowledge of the programme and are happy to advise and assist you
If you wish to be included in the draw for the limited number of FREE Guided Gallery Tours and Workshop Activities complete this form too
Return all forms to Baboró either by post:

DO NOT include payment with these forms - payment will be due after you receive your Confirmation
Schools and Groups Box Office Information
School tickets €6.50 Registered Disadvantaged Schools €5.50
Free Teacher’s Tickets (1 in 10 for Schools) (1 in 4 for Pre schools) As required for Special Needs
Tickets are non-refundable.

Step 2 - WHAT BABORÓ DOES NEXT
Baboró operates a lottery system to ensure fairness for all schools requesting bookings.
All forms received before Thursday 16th September will be included in this lottery
First round offers will be sent out to schools by September 24th
This offer includes:
- A Confirmation Form - detailing show, time, cost, number of children and teachers etc.
Payable by October 8th - cheque, postal order or credit card - to Baboró offices
Payment must be made prior to attending the performance

Bus Drop Off Points
Etiquette for schoolchildren attending performances
Information on other activities available in Galway during your visit
Activities related specifically to the performance that you can organise before your visit - Offer of FREE workshop/gallery visit if you have been successful.
(Places are very limited for these events and are allocated using a lottery system)
- Bus Subsidy Form - to be completed and submitted along with a receipt, after your visit
If you have not submitted your Booking Request by Thursday September 16th, don't worry!
You can continue to request places up until October 8th either via email or by post (see above)
Step 3 - WHAT YOU DO NEXT
- Check that the Booking Form details are correct
- Submit your payment to the Baboró offices
- Book your bus if you need one and
- We'll see you in October!
WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU ATTEND A BABORÓ EVENT
When you attend your performance you will be given a:
- FREE Teacher Pack, with more activities to explore when you return to the classroom
- FREE Baboró Poster as a souvenir of your visit
When you get back to the classroom, please:
- Send us a completed Bus Subsidy Form along with a receipt, to reclaim some of the cost of your visit
- Explore the FREE Teacher Activity Pack
- Send us some feedback
We love to hear from you and your class - you can send feedback through the website, either from the class or from the Teacher or the School - suggestions for improvements, feedback on the shows, workshops, gallery visits, Teacher Activity Packs - they're all important to us!
FREE Events for Schools this year include
- Guided Gallery Tours of all 3 Visual Arts Exhibitions - please book in advance, to avoid clashing with other schools. - FREE to all schools
- Meet the Artist events on Friday October 15th - Meet Niamh Sharkey in Galway City Museum and explore her inspiration in making her gorgeous illustrations - FREE to schools that have booked a performance
- Workshops with Morgan O'Brien - Baboró Brochure Artist 2010 - Monday to Thursday 11th to 15th October - FREE to schools that have booked a performance
Special Needs
Special needs or seating requirements should be made known to us at time of booking
This ensures that your visit is as comfortable as possible for the entire class - and for the teachers!
