Location
Galway is a city in the west of Ireland, and is gateway to Connemara.  Situated approximately 130 miles West of Dublin on Galway Bay, the city boasts great restaurants, bars, hotels, and an enviable cultural life.  It is often referred to as the Cultural Heart of Ireland.

Dublin Airport has routes servicing numerous worldwide destinations and is well served by coach services from the Airport, with GoBus providing the only non-stop service. There are 14 departures daily with a journey time of approximately 3 hours

Go Bus +353 (0) 91 564 600, operates 14 daily daily services to/from Galway, serving Dublin city and Airport. It is the only Non-Stop service to Dublin City and Dublin Airport, with Free Wi-Fi and Onboard Toilet Facilities.

The national coach service is Bus Eireann +353 (0) 91 562 000 and several private bus operators, including Citylink + 353 (0) 91 564 163, operate to Galway from Dublin and other cities.

Boat

The closest ferry ports include Dublin (3 hours travel time by road) serviced by Irish Ferries and Stena Line from Holyhead, and Norfolk Line from Liverpool (Birkenhead)

Dun Laoghaire port, to the south of Dublin City, is serviced by Stena Line from Holyhead

Rosslare (5 hours) is serviced by Stena Line from Fishguard and by Irish Ferries from Pembroke
