Baboró has long been an advocate of arts in education and has been pioneering in its interventions in Galway schools for many years. A collaboration between Baboró and NUI Galway, the BEAST! arts in education project brought together artists and scientists to work with children and teachers in the classrooms of three Galway schools over three years to teach STEM subjects through the arts with fascinating results.

Baboró has also developed its second Continuous Professional Development course for primary school teachers or anyone working with children in an education setting who wishes to use drama and creativity to aid their teaching.

Baboró’s programme of work includes projects which reach out into schools and communities. Many of these outreach projects for children take place during or around Baboró’s annual festival. Please see festival programme for more details.
