Annual Festival

Based in Galway on Ireland’s West Coast, Baboró International Arts Festival for Children is Ireland’s flagship international arts festival devoted exclusively to children and families.

Every October, we present performances and events across Galway city and county. An exciting festival programme of theatre, dance, puppetry, music, art and literature varies from year to year to bring a wide diversity of exposure to the creative arts especially created for young audiences, their schools and families.

Our full programme is launched at the end of the summer. To get the latest information about our programme, box office opening and our year round work please join our newsletter here. You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

At the heart of Baboró’s ambition is access to the arts for all children. We work closely with schools so that all children enjoy equal access to the arts.

We provide a dedicated schools box office liaison to assist schools and groups create and book an itinerary. Discounted school tickets, a bus subsidy programme, and free teacher and SNA tickets are also provided to assist teachers to bring their students to the festival. We also prepare teaching resources based on each year's programme to help teachers enrich their students experience before, during and after the festival.

For Artists
