Child Workshop: Brave New World

Become an architect of the future! Where will we live? What jobs will we have? What kind of cars will we drive 100 years from now?

This workshop co insides with the exhibition Human Being and Human Becoming by Siobhan McGibbon.

Siobhan McGibbon is an Irish visual artist specializing in art and science collaborative practice. She works conceptually with sculpture, installation,drawing and animation.McGibbon is currently Artist in Residence in the Centre for Research in Medical Devices – Galway.Solo projects include SpeciMEN, the Luan Gallery, The cultivation of a fallacy,The Linenhall gallery, Existing on the edge of anatomy, The Talbot gallery. Her work has been included in group exhibitions in the RHA annual 2013, for which she received the RHA Conor Falon Sculpture award, “future perfect”, Rubicon Brussels project, Tulca Festival of Visual Arts, Galway, 2012 and Dublin contemporary 2011.

Parking: There is no parking at this venue. There is on street parking in the surrounding area and a large car park located next to the Mill Street Garda Station for €4 for 2 hours.

Public Bus: Galway city bus route 414 stops along Dominick Street which is a 1 minute walk to Galway Arts Centre

Walking: The Galway Arts Centre is located on Dominick Street in Galway's westend and is a 10 minute walk from Town Hall Theatre
