Goodnight Egg - Work in Progress SOLD OUT

This event is now sold out.

Sometimes it can be hard to sleep. Our minds wander and we can’t keep our eyes shut. But tonight, things will be different. Cross your fingers (and toes)! The award-winning creators of Half Light and Susie and The Story Shredder present a joyful new work for early years in the final stages of development.

"Bombinate Theatre are well on their way to becoming one of Ireland’s foremost children's theatre companies." The Arts Review

Baboró's Emerging strand is part of our GROW artist support programme.

Bombinate Theatre

Bombinate Theatre is an award-winning company based in Dublin.

'Bombinate' means to make a humming or a buzzing noise. We encourage children to make noise, to ask big questions and to stay on their own buzz. We inspire children to get creative and to engage with the arts in all its forms.

Bombinate Theatre's debut production Half Light was winner of the First Fortnight Award at Dublin Fringe 2016, and was part of Baboró’s 2018 festival. Half Light is published in the compendium Fresh Cuts: Plays from Dublin Fringe 2015 & 2016. Bombinate's second production, Susie and the Story Shredder, premiered at Dublin Fringe 2018 to great critical acclaim and toured nationally in 2019. Goodnight Egg is the company’s third play.

Bombinate Theatre was one of the two company’s selected for Baboró’s inaugural Pathways to Production Programme. This is where Bombinate first started to develop Goodnight Egg. Following this, the play was developed with support from the Arts Council, The Civic Theatre, Roscommon Arts Centre, Creative Schools and Prosperous National School.

Bombinate Theatre is currently the company in residence at VISUAL: Carlow supported by The Arts Council.
