Hear Our Voice!

Please note: Hear Our Voice! will be in residence at St. Joseph's Special School, Newcastle and is not available for bookings outside this setting at this time.

Hear Our Voice! is an interactive show designed specifically for a small audience of children on the autistic spectrum, children with learning disabilities and children with sensory needs.

Phillida Eves takes the children on an enticing journey with live music and multi-sensory fun. Join her on a camping adventure in the woods and share wild food with an unexpected guest. Get warm and cosy around the campfire and fall asleep under a beautiful canopy of stars and a full moon. Wake to a rousing dawn chorus of birds and frogs and explore all the elements of nature. A delightful opportunity to share live music and multi-sensory experiences on a camping trip together.

Hear Our Voice! was developed in partnership with Galway Autism Partnership with funding from Small Towns, Big Ideas as part of Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture. Co-creators were the children on the autistic spectrum in Galway ETN School, musician Michael Chang and puppeteers from Rijeka City Puppet Theatre as part of Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture. The project had early mentorship from Tim Webb, Oily Cart Theatre Company, and was shared as a work in progress at Tobogan Festival Rijeka, Croatia in July 2019.
