Have you ever wondered how to make stories come alive? Award-winning author of Nine Lives Trilogy, E.R. Murray will visit Galway schools and embark on a journey to explore the magical world of books and storytelling! Through lively discussion, images and objects, Elizabeth will reveal how to create compelling characters, sensational settings, and exciting storylines that jump off the page.
Verbally, your class will create a group story together, and Elizabeth will read from her book The Book of Learning and answer your questions about what it’s like to be a writer.

E.R. Murray’s books include the award-winning adventure series, The Nine Lives Trilogy; The Book of Learning (2016 Dublin UNESCO City of Literature Citywide Read for Children), The Book of Shadows (shortlisted 2016 Irish Book Awards & Irish Literacy Association Award) and The Book of Revenge. She is also the author of Caramel Hearts, a book for young adults that contains real cake recipes. Books, travel, nature, and food are Elizabeth’s favourite things and she tries to combine all four as often as possible. Elizabeth lives in West Cork, where she fishes, grows her own vegetables and enjoys plenty of adventures with her dog, Franklyn.
