Jumpers, brollies and all sorts of souvenirs come together in playful choreography to tell a whimsical story of discovery. Sleeve holes pop up in unexpected places, trouser legs grow into ballgowns and zips open up into whole new dimensions.
Acrobatics! Dance! Fantasy! What once dangled idly from a clothes hanger comes to life before our very eyes, when Alexander Vantournhout takes a deep dive into his souvenir collection.
This is Vantournhout’s first creation for a small and wide-eyed audience. Dancer Miguel do Vale turns his creation into magic.

BRONKS is a theatre for young audiences based in the heart of Brussels. They create, tour and present performing arts for young audiences, as well as delivering extensive educational work, community projects and organising festivals, including the international biennale EXPORT/IMPORT.
Not Standing was founded by choreographer Alexander Vantournhout who studied cyr wheel and juggling. Vantournhout's physical language was influenced by his varied education and diverse working circumstances. However, it is also marked by two constants: his search for the creative and kinetic potential in physical limitations, and the relationship or boundary between performer and object.
