Superhuman, developed by CÚRAM, is an exciting new exhibit at the Galway City Museum. Full of hands-on fun and interactive elements, it invites you to explore the creativity and innovation of medtech research, seeking to find solutions for human illnesses.

Led by CÚRAM’s education team, this workshop will give you an opportunity to visit the exhibit while taking part in a lively workshop that challenges you to dream up creative solutions to help people overcome the difficulties of living with an illness. Can you invent the medtech device of the future?

CÚRAM is a Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Medical Devices at University of Galway. Their research focuses on understanding and treating global chronic diseases. Through their Education and Public Engagement programme, CÚRAM aim to forge collaborations between researchers and the community to create opportunities for all to learn, contribute and be inspired.

Relaxed Events are specifically for parents who may have concerns about bringing their children to the festival. We aim to provide a comfortable and relaxed space for children, and a stress-free environment for parents. Artists adapt their shows by altering the light and sound for example, and our Front of House Mangers create a supportive atmosphere where audiences can move around or make noise.
