In happier news, the Barceló Brothers performed a concert on Facebook live the Baboró Facebook page on Sunday 11 October at 3pm.

The Barceló Brothers perform an explosive mix of Zydeco Music, Rhythm and Blues, Soul and Funk music. A vibrant young band formed by brothers Séamus (vocals and drums) and Mícheál (accordion, harmonica and vocals) along with their father Miquel (guitar and vocals), their concerts are always fun and heartwarming. Séamus and Mícheál sing their own heartfelt songs infused with instrumental virtuosity, impromptu dance moves and a contagious ‘joie de vivre’.

The Barceló Brothers

The Barceló Brothers is a vibrant band created in Headford (Galway) by two young brothers Séamus (drums/rubboard/vocals) and Mícheál (accordion/Harmonica/vocals), and their father Miquel (guitar/vocals). The band was born in a musical and theatrical family home who enjoy making music and having fun. From a very young age, the brothers have been tinkering with a wide range of instruments and musical genres until they fell in love with the French and Afro-Caribbean sounds of South West Louisiana. Their musical journey started as a game in 2015 by playing on the road in their townland while slowly sharing some of their performances on social media. Since then they have shared their own heartful compositions and their festive spirit with performances in a wide range of festivals in Ireland, UK and Mallorca.
