Festival Time

We recruit a large number of volunteers for our annual festival. The volunteers support the Front of House Managers and help ensure the audience’s Baboró experience is a memorable one.

Volunteer form can be downloaded here and returned by email to peter@baboro.ie

Please note:

All applicants are interviewed, undergo volunteer training and are briefed on our Child Protection Policy before joining the festival team.

Applicants may be Garda Vetted.

Year Round

Baboró volunteers help us to plan for the festival in areas such as administration, archiving and marketing. For more information, contact us at admin@baboro.ie

Become a Baboró Volunteer and help us to continue to deliver world-class creative experiences for children. We can’t do it without you.

For the past 22 years, volunteers have helped us to achieve our hopes and dreams, to inspire children to engage with the world through their experience of the arts. We have grown year on year, thanks to the generosity of people volunteering their time to us. We like to provide a rewarding volunteer experience — for some it’s an opportunity to work in a busy office environment and see how a festival operates ‘behind-the-scenes’, while for others, it’s a chance to work as part of a festival team and help bring the festival to life!

Volunteers receive many benefits from volunteering with us, read our testimonials from past volunteers:

I am really enjoying the festival. It has been a gift seeing every morning all the children smiling and singing... It's a really good festival. Congratulations!

The Happy Heart Zone and Galway Arts Centre were so much fun. If the kids enjoyed it half as much as I did, it was definitely a success. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the opportunity and experience of working in both the office and hands on during the festival. I really appreciate it and hopefully when I return I can help out again.
