DO A WORKSHOP

Please note that a limited number of tickets will be available on the door. Online tickets are now sold out. Please be aware that tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Visit Baboró’s Creative Lab in the Aula Maxima at NUI Galway to get your creative juices flowing. Times: Saturday & Sunday 12 - 2pm & 3 - 5pm.

Visit the Robotics Adventures Family Drop in Zone in the uber cool surroundings of the innovation district at the Portershed beside the Train Station.  Enjoy cutting-edge workshops using electronic building blocks to create inventions large and small. Times: Saturday & Sunday 12.30 - 4.30pm.

VISIT OUR FREE EXHIBITIONS

Becoming: The Adventures of Growing Up.  This is a free exhibition at the Galway Arts Centre, that sees growing up as an adventure in itself. Sat 10–5:30pm, Sun 12– 5pm. 

Juniper exhibition at the Town Hall Theatre – This is a stunning visual story exhibition for all ages.  Entry is free and the exhibition will continnue until 9th November. 

STORYTIME AT CHARLIE BYRNE'S 

Charlie Byrne's Storytime will take place Saturday at 11am, suitable for ages 3-5, entry is free.

WHERE TO EAT

When you need a break from all the activities why not dine at one of the many fabulous eateries Galway has to offer.  

Get off to a great start with good coffee or mochacinno for the little ones at Coffeewerk and Press, Pascal Coffee House or Mocha Beans.

There’s a great variety of options for dining and snacking with some favourites listed here. McDonagh’s Fish and Chips, Milano Galway,The Kitchen Café (within Galway museum), Dela,  Mr. WaffleMonroe’s TavernCava BodegaArd Bia at Nimmo’s, Martine’s Restaurant and Winebar, The King’s Head, Kai Cafe and Restaurant, and Il Vicolo Restaurant.  Or perhaps a Michellin star visit to Loam, evening menu only available or a visit across the road to Rouge open from 6pm.

Of course you can pop in at anytime to Aunty Nellie’s for some sweets that will make you feel nostalgic.

Finally Galway’s own Aoibheann MacNamara of Ard Bia at Nimmos will host a talk for parents about nurturing your child’s love of food for life through travel and adventure.  The talk will take place at 4pm Saturday at Ard Bia, Tickets €10 this is a Baboró fundraising event https://goo.gl/wDuXRF
