These participatory, multi-sensory visual art workshops for children aged 2-6 years will explore the old Galway markets focusing on themes reflected in the current exhibitions within the Museum. Participants will feel the textures of the market clothing, have a go at weaving a basket and enjoy lots of creative fun creating a market experience together. “It’s always a pleasure and a privilege for me to explore topics with early years children in a creative setting. I love to provide materials, ideas and a safe space for the children to explore their own creativity and extend their ideas in meaningful ways for them. I use multi-sensory elements to engage the children. History comes alive with the textures, smells and visual observations. Children love the details.” Phillida Eves, Creative Sensory educator.
