Join Baboró for an online artist gathering

This spring, we are (re)introducing regular artist get-togethers with our new, seasonal artist gatherings. This first meeting will focus on the question, What kinds of support do you need and want from the Arts for Young Audiences community? It will be an informal opportunity to chat and share a virtual cuppa together.

Our spring artist gathering will take place Thursday, 25 April, from 12:00-13:00 on Zoom. If you are interested, you can RSVP here and you will receive a Zoom link on the morning of the 25th.

What are the artist gatherings?

As part of our goal to support artists and contribute to the healthy growth of the sector, we aim to have an hour-long artist gathering each season (April, July, October, January). These will be opportunities for our community to connect, share experiences, and learn more about the industry and best practice.

While this first session will be discussion-based, subsequent meetings may include guest speakers and will be more tailored around what themes and topics come out of this initial chat on 25 April. If you can't make the Spring session, never fear--it will be followed by a summer session on Thursday 25 July, 12:00-13:00.

Who is invited?

Everyone! We invite artists, creatives, arts workers, and anyone else interested in the Art for Young Audiences sector to join us. Whether you're just starting out or have been making work for ages, have only just heard of Baboró or are a GROW alum, you're welcome to hop online for the chats and a proverbial (or literal) cuppa.

About GROW

What is GROW?

GROW is Baboró's year round artist development programme for creatives making work for young audiences in Ireland.

Who is GROW for?

If you are interested in making creative work for young people, GROW is probably for you! Different GROW opportunities are directed at individuals with different levels of experience. Some will be aimed at emerging artists, while others will be aimed at more established and mid-career artists.

How will I know if an opportunity is for me?

When we open an application call out, the online details will clearly state who the opportunity is for and the level of experience required. Our goal is always to provide artists with a straightforward and accessible application process.

If you have any questions about GROW, please feel free to contact our Artist & Programme Coordinator Rachel at rachel[at]baboro.ie.
