ACCESS programme

Baboró ACCESS strives to ensure that as many children as possible can access creative arts experiences within our festival programme and year round activities. Baboró also provides opportunities via special outreach projects.

Baboró is committed to opening out our festival events and year-round activities to everyone and welcome and encourage new partnerships and projects.

How we do it:

  • We work with local schools and partner organisations to identify individuals or groups who would benefit from the programme.
  • As well as subsidising all our regular ticket prices by 76%, we offer free-of-charge events and workshops to schools and groups.
  • We subsidise school transport costs.
  • We travel to schools and venues across the county as part of Baboró on Tour.
  • We offer free-of-charge family events during the festival.

We also offer relaxed and recommended performances for individuals and groups with additional needs.

"The young people I work with have never had the opportunity to attend a performance, so it was fantastic to get the chance to bring them. The group had such a wonderful time. From the moment we walked into The Black Box, we were completely immersed in the show. The staff and volunteers were so welcoming. It was a magical experience for them. Thank you so much for the generosity." Natasha Muldoon - ARD Family Resource Centre, Doughiska.

ARD Family Resource Centre visited the festival in 2018 through our ACCESS programme.

Baboró is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity. We continuously raise funds throughout the year to support our efforts and directly fund our ACCESS programme. Please support us by making a donation today here, initiating a fundraising campaign on Facebook, or by attending one of our fundraising events throughout the year.
