Air
Shannon International Airport is located 90km (55 miles) from Galway and has routes servicing numerous destinations in Europe, the US and Canada. Bus Services are available from Shannon. Ireland West Airport Knock, 85km (53 miles), from Galway also has direct connections to a number of UK destinations and Dublin. Dublin Airport has routes servicing numerous worldwide destinations and is well served by coach services from the Airport, with Citylink operating daily departures from Dublin Airport to Galway Coach Station. All coaches have air conditioning, reclining seats free wifi and on-board toilets.

Rail
Iarnród Eireann operates daily return services to Galway from Dublin (Heuston Station) (approximately 2.5 hrs travel time). Galway’s train station is located in the city centre adjacent to Eyre Square.
Bus
Citylink operates
38 daily departures from the Galway Coach Station to a range of
destinations, providing frequency and direct routes with shorter
journey times. Citylink’s services feature a fleet of luxury,
modern, high-class coaches. All coaches have air conditioning,

The
national coach service, and several private bus operators, including
Go Bus operate to Galway from Dublin and other cities.

Boat
The closest ferry ports include Dublin (3 hours travel time by road) serviced by Irish Ferries and Stena Line from Holyhead, and Norfolk Line from Liverpool (Birkenhead). Dun Laoghaire port, to the south of Dublin City, is serviced by Stena Line from Holyhead. Rosslare (5 hours) is serviced by Stena Line from Fishguard and by Irish Ferries from Pembroke.
