Exploring the art of imitation, this performance challenges the stigma of copying. As social beings, we copy all the time: we mimic how others speak, move, dress, think... Despite its bad reputation, copying is perfectly natural! It’s how we connect, learn and teach.
Celebrating copying as a creative tool, Copiar invites the audience on a playful journey. Participating children take centre stage where they navigate between movement, light and music with no guide other than the essential act of copying. From a copy, an original emerges.
Please note: this performance includes moments of complete darkness, flashing lights and loud noise. It may not suit sensitive audience members.
It unfolds before us as a visually powerful and highly sophisticated spectacle.
