Who is the controller of your personal data?

Baboró International Arts Festival for Children is the controller of the personal data you submit to us and responsible for your personal data under applicable data protection law.

Type of information we collect

The type of information we collect may include personal data which identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you. This includes name, postal and/or email address, telephone number and other contact information you provide on our online forms, at events or over the telephone. Such information is only collected from you if you voluntarily submit it to us.

If you make a donation or a purchase on our website you will be asked to provide your credit/debit card number, these details are stored in a secure database in compliance with PCI Data Security Standards and are transmitted directly to our payment providers PayPal.

Baboró respects your right to privacy and endeavours to provide a safe online experience, in compliance with relevant data protection laws.

Throughout this website, you may have the opportunity to send us information relating to you, by filling out volunteering forms, signing up to the mailing list, completing contact forms or buying tickets. By choosing to participate in this collection of information, you will be providing us with some level of personal details relating to you, however we will not use the information provided for purposes other than those for which it was sent.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure, and we will take all steps reasonably necessary to protect this information against unauthorized access and use.

If you are on our mailing list, you will be contacted with relevant information that you have expressed an interest in, or that we believe might be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe at any time to stop receiving this information by contacting us to revoke your subscription.

The information you provide will be used solely for the purpose for which you provided it.

We process personal data you provide to us for the following purposes:

  • Families and Audiences – you will receive festival updates and no more than 6 newsletters throughout the year about Baboró news.
  • Schools and Educators – you will receive relevant festival updates and no more than 6 emails throughout the year about our CPD course, workshops and events relevant to educators.
  • Artists and Industry – you will receive relevant festival updates and no more than 6 emails throughout the year about our delegate programme, industry events, talks and workshops.
  • Volunteers and Job Opportunities – you will receive relevant festival updates and no more than 4 emails throughout the year about volunteering and job opportunities.

Where do we store your data?

The data that we collect from you is stored within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside of the EEA. Any such transfer of your personal data will be carried out in compliance with applicable laws.

Who has access to your data?

Your data may be shared within Baboró. We never pass on, sell or swap your data for marketing purposes to third. The American company Mailchimp acts as the personal data processor and processes the personal data on behalf of the Irish company Baboró. Data that is forwarded to third parties, is only used to provide you with our services.

Security

The Baboró website does not collect personal Information about you except information that you provide voluntarily. All our constituents’ personal information is treated confidentially, whether collected through this website or by other means. This information is stored securely.

The nature of the Internet is such that we cannot 100% guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet to be secure. However, once we receive your personal data we take all reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction and to prevent any unauthorised or unlawful disclosure or processing.

What is the legal ground for processing?

For every specific processing of personal data we collect from you we will inform you whether the provision of personal data is statutory or required to enter a contract and whether it is an obligation to provide the personal data and possible consequences if you choose not to.

What are your rights?

Right to access: You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold on you at any time. You can email admin@baboro.ie and we will provide you with your personal data via e-mail.

Right to portability: Whenever Baboró process your personal data by automated means based on your consent or based on an agreement you have the right to get a copy of your data transferred to you or to another party. This only includes the personal data you have submitted to us.

Right to rectification: You have the right to request rectification of your personal data if they are incorrect, including the right to have incomplete personal data completed.

Right to erasure: You have the right to erase any personal data processed by Baboró at any time.

Your right to object to processing based on legitimate interest: You have the right to object to processing of your personal data that is based on Baboró legitimate interest.

Your right to object to direct marketing: You have the right to object to direct marketing, including profiling analysis made for direct marketing purposes. You can opt out from pur email marketing by following the instruction in marketing emails.

Right to restriction: You have the right to request that Baboró restricts the process of your personal data under the following circumstances: *if you object to a processing based Baboró legitimate interest, Baboró shall restrict all processing of such data pending the verification of the legitimate interest. *if you have claim that your personal data is incorrect, Baboró must restrict all processing of such data pending the verification of the accuracy of the personal data. *if the processing is unlawful you can oppose the erasure of personal data and instead request the restriction of the use of your personal data instead *if Baboró no longer needs the personal data but it is required for you to make of defending legal claims.

How can you exercise your rights?

Data Protection Officer: We have a dedicated Data Protection Officer to ensure that we continuously process your personal data in an open, accurate and legal manner. You can contact our Data Protection Officer at admin@baboro.ie and write DPO as subject matter.

Right to complain with a supervisory Authority: If you consider Baboró to process your personal data in an incorrect way you can contact us. You also have the right to turn in a complaint to a supervisory authority.

Privacy policy statement changes

Baboró may change this privacy policy from time to time. When such a change is made, we will post a revised version of this policy online. Changes will be effective from the point at which they are posted. This privacy policy was last reviewed in May 2018.
