Commissions Award Announcement

Baboró is delighted to announce that we are a recipient of an Arts Council Commission Award to enable us to work with Galway artist James Riordan. James will collaborate with interdisciplinary artists to create a new show designed to tour city and county libraries during Baboró’s annual festival next year.

Being nominated by Baboró International Arts Festival for Children to represent them as a Creative Associate on the inaugural Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools programme was an extremely exciting prospect. The promise of an ambitious, cross-departmental programme aimed at putting the arts and creativity at the heart of children and young people’s lives excited me and I could not wait to begin my journey.

The latest from Baboró International Arts Festival for Children

October 08, 2020

Baboró International Arts Festival for Children opened in Galway on Monday 5 October with a programme of in-person events and a wide range of online activities to enjoy from home, and from school classrooms. In light of the Government announcement to move to Level 3 of the Plan for Living with COVID-19, Baboró is now unable to present indoor events. However, Baboró’s online and outdoor programme will proceed as planned until 18 October.
