As the machines get closer and threaten his precious wilderness, a curious figure awakens to find one last curlew egg. With the fate of his home uncertain, Fen resolves to save the unhatched chick, with the help of a playful fox.

FEN is a gentle and moving story addressing the need to protect our wildlands and their inhabitants. A highly visual, non-verbal show combining puppetry, shadow play and an original score, FEN seeks to develop our ability to connect with the abounding beauty, magic and meaning in the natural world.

Developed in collaboration with the pupils of Feevagh NS and Ballintleva NS, Co. Roscommon.
