In this playful, hands-on, immersive workshop, Baboró Artist-in-Residence Lindsay Deely welcomes you into an open-ended art and maker space. Taking inspiration from Galway City Museum exhibits, we’ll consider the importance of caring for our local environment and create artwork leading to a series of collaborative installations.

Children 7 to 9 yrs must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

Lindsay Deely is an educator, arts practitioner, and researcher whose work lies at the intersection of science and the arts. With a strong commitment to expanding access to both fields, particularly for underserved communities, her work aims to inspire young people to explore the world around them through creative, hands-on experiences that boost confidence and curiosity.
In 2012, Lindsay founded Toodlelou Creativity Lab, an art and science makerspace based in Co. Galway. Through this initiative, she has designed and facilitated numerous workshops that merge artistic expression with scientific exploration. These workshops have impacted over 14,000 children by partnering with community groups, national science public engagement programmes, schools, libraries, museums, and festivals. She has been curating workshops for Baboró since 2017.
As a Baboró Artist in Residence, Lindsay looks forward to working with young people to co-create new work that will foster meaningful relationships with young participants, enriching their festival experiences and promoting continuous engagement with the arts and sciences.
