The Fabulous Tale of BasarKus is a dazzling display of juggling and acrobatics. BasarKus is like no other creature. He has two heads and many arms and several legs. He is happy rolling about, juggling or playing guitar with four hands!
But BasarKus isn’t one, but two! As the performers realise they are separable, they start exploring their own special talent - as acrobat and as juggler. Like inquisitive children, they learn from each other and form new mischievous combinations. Their games help them discover their own body and identity, and the wonder of growing up.

The choreographer and dancer Sylvère Lamotte founded Compagnie Lamento in 2015.
Introduced to contact dance at an early age, which remains central to his practice, the choreographer bases his research on encounters with others and self-awareness, developing his style between expressiveness and abstraction. Since the company's inception, the artistic team has been deeply involved in cultural activities targeting different audiences.
In 2022, he created his first two shows for young audiences: Voyage au Bout de L’ennui (Journey to the End of Boredom) and La Fabuleuse Histoire de BasarKus (The Fabulous Tale of BasarKus). This one created with The Fratellini Academy has already been performed almost 1,000 times around the world. In 2024 and 2025, in collaboration with illustrator Betty Bone, he created a project aimed at children aged 3 and up: Immobile & Rebondi #1 and #2 (Still & Bounce #1)
