A practical workshop exploring the use of table-top puppets and simple objects to express a wordless narrative. Suitable for theatre makers and performing artists for young audience practitioners.

The workshop will focus on the use of table-top puppets and simple objects to tell a story. Participants will engage with objects and puppets and learn the power of delicate movements in engaging a young audience.  Throughout the workshop we will explore the use of simple movement routines and breath to bring meaning and movement to a narrative. Wooden training puppets will be supplied for the participants to work with during the workshop.

In partnership with An Taibhdhearc.

Ceardlann phraiticiúil ina ndéantar iniúchadh ar úsáid puipéid chun scéal gan focal a chur in iúl, feiliúnach d’ealaíontóirí amharclainne agus d’ealaíona taibhithe do lucht féachana óg.

Díreoidh an cheardlann ar úsáid puipéidí adhmad agus ábhar simplí chun scéal a insint. Beidh rannpháirtithe ag plé le ábhair agus le puipéidí agus foghlaimeoidh siad an chumhacht a bhaineann le gluaiseachtaí mín chun lucht féachana óg a mhealladh. Cuirfear puipéidí oiliúna adhmaid ar fáil do na rannpháirtithe le bheith ag obair leo le linn na ceardlainne. Le linn na ceardlainne, déanfaimid iniúchadh ar úsáid gnáthaimh ghluaiseachta simplí agus anála chun brí agus gluaiseacht a thabhairt do scéal.
