St. Pats Lockdown Olympics

From their homes in Galway and Melbourne, James and Darren created a whacky series of four weekly videos.

'St. Pats Lockdown Olympics’ is a co-creation project between the students and teachers from two classes in St. Patrick’s National School and artists James Riordan of Brú Theatre and Darren O’Donnell, Artistic and Founding Director of Mammalian Diving Reflex.

Together, they created and competed in a zany olympic competition between classes.

From their homes in Galway and Melbourne, James and Darren created a whacky series of four weekly videos, accompanied by props delivered to the students’ homes, guiding them through the creation of their own spectacularly zany sports. Each week students earned points for the weirdness, creativity and ‘sportiness’ of their sport. At the end of the 4 weeks the class with most points won the ‘St Pats Lockdown Olympics’.

Below is a crazy mashup of the series of videos from the olympics!
