At Baboró we believe that every child should have the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the creative arts. To combat one of the barriers facing schools attending the festival - rising transport costs - we are asking for your support.
Many schools depend on Baboró’s Bus Subsidy. Kind people like you raised €5,500 last year - this subsidised transport for 1,781 children from all corners of County Galway, from Ballinasloe to Carraroe and everywhere in between.
This year, the need is even greater, with many schools and families overstretched. We need to raise €7,500 so we can support up to 2,500 children and bring them to Baboró this October. And that’s where we need your help. We are asking for donations of €500, or whatever you can contribute at this time, to this year’s School Bus Subsidy.
By donating, you and your business will bring a beautiful, unforgettable arts experience to even more children in the West of Ireland.
100% of donations go directly to schools to subsidise their transport.
Donations of €500 or more will be acknowledged with your organisations logo appearing:
- in 15,000 printed festival programmes
- on our website linked to your organisation
- on our supporter pop-ups which are used throughout our festival opening and launch
- on our social media channels
Please note inclusion on our printed programme must be confirmed prior to July 14.
Thank you as always for your support. If you are in a position to make a donation, you can do so here, and if you have any questions at all please contact aisling@baboro.ie.
About the School Bus Subsidy
The School Bus Subsidy Fund is a crucial way to mitigate the financial and geographical barriers faced by many children and their schools. Each school who applies for the subsidy will be reimbursed for a portion of their bus hire and/or fuel costs. For many schools, this is the deciding factor which makes it possible for them to afford a trip to Baboró, even with heavily subsidised tickets.
