Baboró Announces Addition to Board of Directors

Please join us in welcoming Marie O'Byrne to the Baboró team! At the Annual General Meeting on June 15, Marie was appointed to the Baboró Board of Directors. Marie is currently the Director of the Hawk's Well Theatre and is dedicated to the development and production of the Irish creative arts. Baboró's Executive Artistic Director, Aislinn ÓhEocha, spoke on Marie O'Byrne's appointment:

"I am delighted that Marie is joining the Baboró Board. As Director of the Hawk's Well Theatre in Sligo, Marie is a dynamic and innovative leader in the arts in the West of Ireland. Marie has wide and varied experience in production, touring and programming and is very interested in the arts for children. Marie is also a talented musician with a background in architecture so she brings a whole host of experience to draw on. Marie and I worked together in glór, Ennis many moons ago and I'm really looking forward to working with her again in this context."

This year's AGM saw the end of term for longstanding Baboró Board Member and Chair, Sybil Curley.  Sybil had been serving on the Baboró Board of Directors since 2011, and worked tirelessly to aid the development of the organisation, and champion our work as a charity and arts organisation for children. She was an inspirational chair, to whom we are very grateful. We wish her all the best for the future.

We are excited to announce that Annette Curley has been appointed as Baboró's Interim Chair. Annette has been a member of the Baboró board since 2015 and has experience in International executive management as a strategic business partner. Annette also serves as a mentor for many non-profit organisations in the Galway community.
